LONG ISLAND CITY, NY

THE ISAMU NOGUCHI FOUNDATION AND GARDEN MUSEUM

“The Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum sits on a side street in a half residential and half industrial area of Long Island City, New York. Located just across the street from a large park, the linear design of the brick façade doesn’t give a hint to the treasures inside. The building was fashioned from a photogravure plant and a gas station that were opposite Noguchi’s studio, where he had lived and worked since 1961.”
